Ben Haenow is crowned the winner of the 2014 X Factor
Ben Haenow did it! The van driver from Croydon won over the nation to be voted this years X Factor winner.
The gravelly voiced heartthrob sang his heart out week after week and his efforts paid off.
He?d been getting more votes than anyone else for the last seven weeks of the show so for many it was no surprise he was the victor.
But the modest star looked shocked and overjoyed as host Dermot O?Leary announced that he was the winner.
Dermot then presented the Croydon born singer a copy of the single he will be releasing.
Prior to the results Simon Cowell was looking pretty pleased with himself but then again it was a win win situation for the music mogul being the mentor of the last two acts.
Runner up Fleur East took defeat gracefully, but with such talent we?re sure she?ll be following in the footsteps of other X Factor runners up like One Direction and Olly Murs. Just watch this space.
