In New York all eyes were on Venus Williams
as she played her first game in the US open.
The tennis ace beat Japan?s Kimiko Date-Krumm and will now proceed into
the second round.
Out on the streets of the city Twilight
star Robert Pattinson was snapped looking casual in a classic white T-shirt and
jeans. The actor was out in the city with some friends.
Robert wasn?t the only celeb spotted though
as hotel heiress Nicky Hilton was seen wearing her engagement ring after she
said yes to her long-term beau James Rothschild.
