The Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grants Banquet is a success

Stars from around the world attended The Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grants Banquet in LA. The association is the same organisation behind the Golden Globes.
The star studded event was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel and the evening saw the organisation hand out $1.9 million worth of grants to non-profit entertainment related organisations and scholarship programs.
The evening was opened with a tribute to Robin Williams from the Press Association?s president Theo Kingma. He thanked Williams for ?using his creative talent not just as an actor, but also as a tool to raise public awareness through his numerous charities?.
A series of celebrity appearances followed from Sofia Vergara, Minnie Driver and Robert Pattinson. It was Kristen Bell who stole the show though as the singer who plays Anna in the Disney animation Frozen performed the film?s hit song ?Do You Want to Build a Snowman? at the charity event which has so far raised an impressive $20 million.
