Taylor Swift dazzled in a metallic glitter ball minidress as she stepped out on the red carpet of the American Music Awards in a pair of strappy stilettos. 

Not to be outdone, Rihanna commanded attention in a black bra-top and a high-waisted sheer lace skirt with sleeked back locks.

Lady Gaga went for the quirk appeal as she rode in on a stunning white stallion and looked every inch the princess in a dreamy purple frock.

Flying the flag for dapper male red carpet looks, the One Direction boys were a handsome five piece as was Justin Timberlake who opted for a smart bow tie.
