At first glance you might think Zooey Deschanel is wearing a blue bikini top…
But no, she seems to be rocking some make-shift beachwear.
The 33-year-old actress and her co-star Jake Johnson were spotted filming the third season of the TV show, New Girl, on the beach in Malibu.
Zooey, who plays teacher Jess Day in the programme, showed off her midriff in the tattered cropped-top and sari, which seemed to be burnt.
The star and Jake were seen filming on the beach with a boy and a cop and found time to relax on set.
But then Jake, who plays bartender Nick Miller, encountered some trouble in the ocean.
But not to worry, it was Jess to the rescue! We can’t wait for the show to hit our screens!
