Met Gala Fashion

Last night
was the fashion industry?s biggest red-carpet at the 63rd annual
Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The star-studded
event served at the kick-off to this year?s exhibition celebrating Alexander
McQueen?s illustrious career. Here?s a breakdown of the incredible ensembles of
the evening.
Our
favorite Gossip Girl Blake Lively, certainly did not disappoint in a
embroidered Grecian gown designer by her date, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.
Diane
Kruger showed some leg in a Jason Wu draped skirt paired with an elegant nude
top.
Nicole
Richie channeled old Hollywood glamour in vintage floor length gown with
studded arm slits paired with fine jewelry from her House of Harlow collection.
Sparkling
nude body hugging gowns were definitely a trend with Gwyneth Paltrow in Stella
McCartney and Sarah Jessica Parker in Alexander McQueen.
Also, Renee
Zellweger kept it simple in a nude back baring gown from her go-to designer
Carolina Herrera, while Dakota Fanning added some playful volume in Valentino.
New mom
Miranda Kerr channeled a prima ballerina in this stunning white frothy
Marchesa.
This is
definitely one of our faves along with Maggie Gynellenhall who wowed us in a
navy shimmering Stella McCartney and J Lo in a stunning fuchsia Gucci gown.
Jessica
Alba and Kate Hudson showed off their baby bumps in shimmering gowns from Ralph
Lauren and Stella McCartney.
Some young starlets brought their style A-game! We
can?t get enough of the Emmas!  Emma Roberts rocked white column gown from Michael
Kors while Emma Stone went floral in Lanvin paired with a bright pink lip.
Kristen Stewart looked absolutely phenomenal in a
stunning black and red Proezna Schouler.
The ladies of Glee stuck to red as well. Diana Argon
chose Michael Kors and Lea Michele wore a custom Escada.
Not everyone put their best fashion
face forward. Rihanna looked mismatched in a Stella
McCartney dress and tacky Rapunzel braid. Songstress Beyonce looked
uncomfortable in this Victoria style black and gold Pucci.
The normally vivacious Sophia Vegara
fell flat in this bridemaidseque Carolina Herrera with a jasmine blossom print
gown.
All in all it was a fabulous night for
fashion and the Met Gala certainly did not disappoint.
