TV personality Mario Lopez has apologized for insensitive remarks he made during a recent podcast appearance.
Lopez was being interviewed on a conservative focused show hosted by Candace Owens.
During the show, Owens said that she thinks Hollywood parents allowing their kids to express their gender identity is a "weird trend".
Lopez told Owens "please don't lump me into" the group of Hollywood parents of which she was speaking.
The former "Saved By The Bell" star said it was "dangerous" for parents to allow their kids to pick their identity as youngsters.
Lopez added, "It's sort of alarming and, my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on."
According to CNN Lopez has three children with his wife Courtney Mazza.
