"Jeopardy!" champion James Holhauzer's 32 game winning streak came to an end on Monday night.
Emma Boettcher, a 27-year-old user experience librarian in Chicago, Illinois, beat the reigning champion and took home $46,8081 in the process.
According to CNN, Boetcher auditioned to appear on the show four times, beginning in her senior year of high school.
Boettcher said her interest in trivia began years ago as an undergraduate student at Princeton University.
She told reporters: "It's an amazing feeling, truly. Just being on 'Jeopardy!' was one dream for me".
Holzhauer won more than $2 million during his time on the show and finished just $58,484 shy of the winnings record.
