According to Extra, ?Planet of the Apes? director Matt Reeves is set to direct.
Pre-production will reportedly begin this summer, and filming could start later this year or in 2020.
Pattinson follows in the footsteps of past Batmans Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton.
