Singer Kelly Clarkson made an appearance at the Indy 500, where she opened up about fellow "The Voice" coach Adam Levine?s surprising announcement that he?s leaving the show.
Kelly told ?Extra? before the big race, ?I found out the night before everybody else found out. I was texting him and everybody else.?
Levine?s decision to exit the show after 16 seasons blindsided the show's fans, but she said she understands why he needs to move on.
?It was kind of a shocking thing," she said. "But I kind of get it. He's been doing it for eight years ? that's a long time. He's got a couple kids. Still has a career. Still touring. It's a very rigorous schedule fitting everything in.?
Last week, Adam released a lengthy statement on his departure on Instagram.
