Comicbook.com reports actor Michael Fassbender will conclude his time playing Magneto in the X-Men franchise when 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' premieres. Fans are left to wonder who could take over the role when Disney incorporates the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, due to its merger with Fox. Fassbender also starred in two installments in the Alien franchise, 'Prometheus' and 'Alien: Covenant,' and it's unclear if Disney will continue the R-rated franchise. Fassbender says if the family-friendly studio decides to keep it going, he would be interested in returning. He said in an interview with Bad Taste, "I'd love to, I just absolutely love working with [director] Ridley [Scott], and it was a real moment for me, when I stepped on the set on Prometheus, I got to work with him." 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' hits theaters on June 7th.
