VIDEO : Laverne Cox Talks About Including Trans Men In Abortion Law Conversations

During a commencement speech at Pitzer College, Laverne Cox talked about transgender men. She said the language behind the recent abortion legislation in Alabama excludes them from the conversation. Cox said someone pointed out that trans men can become pregnant like women and are affected by the new law. At first she admitted that she didn?t want to complicate the issue further by including trans men. But then realized she was wrong and that it?s important to use language that includes everyone's experiences.
