Bloomberg reports that actress, Michelle Rodriguez, will return for Fast & Furious 9, after producers hired a female writer to be on the creative team.
Comicbook.com says that the actress wanted the film's production team to hire more female filmmakers before agreeing to come aboard.
The actress told Vanity Fair, "
"My energy is completely directed toward the feminine right now and supporting women...I?ve spent most of my life shooting guns, and hanging out with the boys."
She says that the hit franchise, which started in 2001, needs "to show more love to the women."
She added, "When I read the script?and I hope that it?s inclusive?then I?ll agree to come back or not."
Michelle says that she not only wants to hear more of the female voice in the Fast & Furious films, but also shared at the Bloomberg Future of Equality Summit in London, ?You should evolve with the times, not just pander to certain demographics that are stuck? in the past.
