Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was a high-concept films of the '90s that still retains a passionate cult-following.
Now the film is set to get a modern reboot.
The original 1989 film by Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston saw comedic actor Rick Moranis as a struggling scientist Wayne Szalinski who stumbles upon the invention of a shrinking machine.
According to ComicBook.com, Walt Disney Pictures is eyeing Frozen star Josh Gad to star as Nick Szalinski, son of Wayne Szalinski,
The film will be titled ?Shrunk,? and will take place about three decades after the original film. It is being considered a ?legecyequel? meaning it exists in the same world and continues the overall storyline of the original.
