Lord of the Rings trilogy director Peter Jackson turned down Warner Bros. studios twice when he was approached to direct Aquaman.
Jackson told Empire Magazine, ?Former Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara] said, ?Are you a fan of Aquaman?? I said, ?No.? Six months later: ?Peter, are you a fan of Aquaman?? I said, ?No, Kevin, I already told you this.?
According to ComicBook.com, Jackson went on to admit that ?films are hard,? and that he only wants to make something that he has a deep passion for.
Jackson is currently preoccupied with directing and producing documentaries, first crafting the World War I documentary They Shall Not Grow Old, and an upcoming documentary about The Beatles.
