However, Uproxx reports that AMC actually doesn't have anything to worry about when it comes to the fandom of the post-apocalyptic zombie series. In short, it's because on-air, in-real-time TV ratings don't actually come anywhere near an accurate count of who may wait hours, weeks, months, or even years to watch an episode through other means, such as DVD's or on Netflix. The Walking Dead can continue to boast that it?s the highest rated show on cable, at least until Game of Thrones returns. And in six weeks, when Game of Thrones is over for good, The Walking Dead will reclaim the title of highest-rated show on cable, and it?s likely a title it will maintain for a long time to come.
