VIDEO : Emilia Clarke Reveals She Has Survived 2 Brain Aneurisyms

Emilia Clarke recently revealed that she nearly died twice due to complications from brain aneurysms. Business Insider reports Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on HBO's "Game of Thrones" penned an emotional essay for the New Yorker in which she detailed her scary experiences. The actress said she was able to make a full recovery due to emergency surgeries and great care providers. Clarke's New Yorker essay, titled 'A Battle for my Life,' revealed that she suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage as the result of a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2011, right after she finished filming the first season of "Game of Thrones." Two years later, the actress had invasive, open-skull surgery due to a second aneurysm. She has started a charity called SameYou to in an effort to bring to light the access that sufferers of these injuries need to increase chances of recovery.
