Sarah Hyland just got a major hair makeover for spring, and we couldn't be more here for it. The Modern Family star, who is known for her ultra-long brunette hair, debuted decidedly shorter strands in the form of everyone's favorite trending cut for spring: the shag.
The 28-year-old actress posted her transformation photo on Instagram with the cheeky caption, "Shagadocious bro." The image appears to be a screengrab from a paparazzi shot and pictures Hyland looking super cute and candid with her new layered hair. We're not the only ones obsessed, either. People seem to be loving her new look as countless fans took to the comment section and left messages like, "Love the hair" and "Omg this hair on you ."
Believe it or not, Hyland actually got one of the trendiest haircuts of the season. Hairstylist and founder of Ouai Haircare, Jen Atkin, recently told Allure how much she's living for textured lobs this spring, and that she has countless celebrity clients coming to her and asking for short, shaggy cuts just like the one Hyland is rocking. As for who's behind Hyland's new haircut, while she didn't mention someone specific, she did tag Nine Zero One salon, which is where her longtime friends and founders Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee work.
Prior to her makeover, Hyland was sporting long hair that fell just above her bellybutton. We can't be sure qhether or not she was wearing extensions, but she did open up about experiencing hair loss after her kidney transplant last year, so it's entirely possible her hair was shorter than what she's been rocking on the red carpet.
Regardless, Hyland is slaying the shag game and hitting us with some serious spring hair inspiration. Anyone else ready for a new look?
