The Wrap reports that McCarthy had issues with the show's creator and star Barbara Walters.
McCarthy contributed to Ramin Setoodeh?s upcoming book ?Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View?.
In the book McCarthy compared Walters to Faye Dunaway?s explosive performance as Joan Crawford in ?Mommie Dearest."
McCarthy also recalled Walters publicly berating her for a tampon left floating in a communal toilet.
McCarthy said that Walters frequently battled Whoopi Goldberg for control of the show.
