VIDEO : 'Sesame Street' Movie Gets 2021 Release Date

According to Comicbook.com, the puppets and friends of Sesame Street are headed to the big screen. Warner Bros. has announced that a live-action Sesame Street movie is being produced and is going to be released in 2021. Jonathan Krisel, director and co-creator of Portlandia, is set to direct the film. It will focus on the characters in the long-running series which was created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrissett. Sesame Workshop, which owns the rights to the show will also be involved in the production of the film. Some of the puppets set to be featured in the film include Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.
