Showtime has ordered the limited series Good Lord Bird, based on the novel The Good Lord Bird by James McBride. Blumhouse Television is producing and Ethan Hawke stars and executive produces. Anthony Hemingway directs and exec produces.
Hawke will play abolitionist John Brown.
