VIDEO : 'Roma' Producer Is The First Latina Nominated For Best Picture

Producer Gabriela Rodriguez is shocked by the international success of director Alfonso Cuaron's Oscar-nominated film "Roma." TheWrap reports the producer said, "I thought it would have an interesting impact in Latin America, but not that it would get to where it's gotten around the world and much less that the academies and guilds would recognize it as they have." Rodriguez is the first Latina ever nominated for best picture. "Roma" is a black-and-white drama based on Cuaron's memories from the early '70s in Mexico City. It's up for 10 Academy Awards, including best direction, original script and cinematography.
