VIDEO : Michael B. Jordan On 'Black Panther' Prep And Push For Diversity

In the Oscar nominated film, "Black Panther," Michael B. Jordan plays antagonist Killmonger. The character tries to overthrow his cousin, T'Challa, to become ruler of Wakanda.
When it came to preparing for the role, CNN says that 31-year-old Jordan not only physically pushed himself, but also challenged himself, mentally.
Jordan explains, "[Killmonger] was a really lonely guy. I just spent a lot of time by myself, isolated, didn't speak that much to my family for awhile."
Jordan also kept a character journal, filled with a backstory not found in the script. CNN adds, "This process, he explains, helps him stay on track and provides subtext to fuel his performances."
Jordan is also pushing for change when it comes to diversity in the entertainment industry.
In 2017, his production company, Outlier Society Productions, created an inclusion rider, which is a contract clause that requires filmmakers to employ a diverse cast and crew. He recently helped Warner Bros. write and adopt its own policy...
CNN adds, "....which will be put into practice on an upcoming legal drama he's producing with the company."
