According to CNN, bestselling British author, Andrea Levy, died on Friday at the age of 62.
Her publisher said that Levy died after a long battle with cancer.
She was best known for penning books like "The Long Song" and "Small Island," which chronicled the journey of Jamaican migrants in Britain.
"Small Island" not only made Levy famous, it also won the Whitbread prize, the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Commonwealth Writers' prize.
