The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences reached out to Dwayne Johnson to host the Oscars. To clear the air, Johnson revealed that he was approached by the Academy but declined the offer. Johnson said the reason he declined was because of filming for ?Jumanji 3.? According to Comicbook.com, Kevin Hart was originally hired to host the Academy Awards. Yet he denied the opportunity after controversy over old accusations of homophobia.
