The Suicide Squad sequel has been turned into "something of a reboot" with former Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn iin discussion to direct the film. The new film, is going to be titled The Suicide Squad, and it is being advertised as a "relaunch of the franchise rather than a sequel to the 2016 film directed by David Ayer".
