'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett issued a press statement after an attack on Tuesday.
According to Reuters, Smollett says that the assault report that he filed with police was '100 percent factual,' and that he is working with law enforcement to investigate the matter.
Jussie, who is openly gay, was allegedly accosted on a Chicago street by two men who used racist and homophobic slurs.
They also poured a chemical liquid on him "before wrapping a rope around his neck" and leaving the scene.
