The Wrap reports that Peter Jackson has agreed to direct a new Beatles documentary on the making of ?Let It Be.?
'Let It Be' is the iconic group's last studio album. It was released in 1970, months after The Beatles broke up.
The doccie will include 55 hours of unseen in-studio footage and 140 hours of audio from the band?s recording of the album. The rare footage was shot between January 2 and January 31, 1969.
Jackson is a three-time Oscar winner who has directed hits like The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
No date has been announced for the release of Jackson?s untitled 'Let It Be' film. But Jackson revealed that watching the movie will make Beatles fans feel like they're a fly on the wall.
He explained, "It?s like a time machine transports us back to 1969, and we get to sit in the studio watching these four friends make great music together.?
