UPI.com is reporting on new benefits of aspirin and ibuprofen.
Taking aspirin and ibuprofen regularly significantly improves survival rates for about 33 percent of patients with head and neck cancer.
The study shows the 5-year survival rates of patients with cancer containing the PIK3CA gene .
The survival rate shot up from 25 percent to 78 percent among those using the drugs.
The study was published this month in the Journal of Experimental Medicine.
