Amazon has acquired the U.S. rights to the Mindy Kaling-written comedy ?Late Night? for $13 million. According to SFGate, the deal was inked after the film?s Sundance premiere on Friday night. ?Late Night? stars Emma Thompson as a legendary late night host who is accused of being a ?woman who hates women." She responds by putting affirmative action on the to-do list, and?presto!?Molly, played by Mindy Kaling, is hired as the one woman in Katherine?s all-male writers? room.
