According to SFGate.com, Hulu has canceled Sean Penn?s space-exploration drama ?The First? after only one season. The project was Penn?s first starring role in a TV series but it was met with negative reviews. The series told the story of the first human mission to Mars and was set in the near future. The drama focused on the lives of astronauts on the mission and how their loved ones were coping back on Earth. Penn stared in the show opposite Natascha McElhone, and LisaGay Hamilton.
