The upcoming "The Many Saints of Newark" is a prequel to the hit series The Sopranos. According to Digital Trends, the HBO production will focus on mob patriarch Tony Soprano as a boy, as well as the race riots that rocked Newark in 1967. David Chase and Lawrence Konner will pen the script. In November 2018, Alessandro Nivola was cast in the role of Dickey Moltisanti--Tony?s uncle and mentor. In January, Vera Farmiga reportedly joined the project, along with The Punisher and The Walking Dead actor Jon Bernthal. The two actors? roles in The Many Saints of Newark, and the show's release date, all remain a mystery at this point.
