ComicBook.com reports that the most comprehensive collection of Lord of the Rings material will be on display at New York's Morgan Library and Museum from January 25th through May 12th. According to organizers, "the exhibition will be the most extensive public display of original Tolkien material for several generations". The official description from the venue says the event will be; "drawn from the collections of the Tolkien Archive at the Bodleian Library (Oxford), Marquette University Libraries (Milwaukee), the Morgan, and private lenders, the exhibition will include family photographs and memorabilia, Tolkien?s original illustrations, maps, draft manuscripts, and designs related to The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion.? Tolkien is widely considered to be the father of modern fantasy literature.
