According to ComicBook.com, Eddie Murphy will be returning to the silver screen with the long-awaited sequel to Coming to America. Paramount has announced that the much-anticipated sequel has hired filmmaker Craig Brewer to direct the film. Brewer recently directed the Murphy in the upcoming Netflix film, Dolemite Is My Name. Murphy was eager to work with Brewer again and Coming to America 2 provided that opportunity.
