According to a report by Comicbook.com, former Pixar alumn John Lasseter has been named the new head of Skydance Animation. The announcement comes after Lasseter was forced to leave Pixar after reports of him possibly having committed 'missteps' of sexual misconduct surfaced in late 2017. David Ellison announced Lasseter's appointment, saying, "John is a singular creative and executive talent whose impact on the animation industry cannot be overstated." He also went on to address the issue of putting a man accused of multiple accounts of sexual misconduct with employees, back into a position of power, saying, "John has acknowledged and apologized for his mistakes and, during the past year away from the workplace, has endeavored to address and reform them.?
