According to Geek.com, vinyl records saw double-digit sales growth in the US last year. Vinyl album sales were up 12 percent last year, mostly due to purchases of ?older? records that were released before 2015. According to a new report by BuzzAngle Music, titles like 2014's ?Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1? , Michael Jackson?s iconic 1982 smash hit ?Thriller? , 1984's ?Purple Rain? from Prince, as well as Queen?s ?Greatest Hits? and The Beatles? ?Abbey Road? are all top sellers and helped to push vinyl sales records to the highest they've been in decades. The only contemporary album in the top 10 is Tony Bennett and Diana Krall?s duet-fueled ?Love Is Here to Stay,? released in 2018.
