Although Channel24 says that the Golden Globes were less political, stars did take a stand for diversity and closing the gender gap during Sunday night's awards show.
"If Beale Street Could Talk" award winning actress Regina King used her acceptance speech to talk about Time's Up x 2.
Channel24 explains, "the second year iteration of the legal defense fund founded in the wake of the sexual misconduct revelations that shook Hollywood."
King said, "I am going to use my platform right now to say in the next two years ... to make sure that everything that I produce is 50 percent women."
She also challenged her people in powerful positions, in all industries, to do the same.
Actresses like Gina Rodriguez and Rachel Brosnahan rocked Time's Up x 2 ribbons on the red carpet.
Patricia Clarkson spoke to the progress in Hollywood when talking about her Sharp Objects director, Jean-Marc Vallee.
She said he "demanded everything of me except sex which is exactly how it should be in our industry".
