According to Uproxx, 'Escape Room' the first big movie release of January, will claim the number two spot in its opening weekend, failing to dethrone 'Aquaman' which has now been No. 1 in the U.S. for three straight weeks. Despite coming in second, 'Escape Room' still scored $17.7 million, a good result for a film made for only $9 million. The movie has also been helped by OK reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and a B grade on Cinemascore.
