'Star Wars' fans received disappointing news this week as Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the franchise won't be producing full-length, original films for upcoming streaming service Disney+. Comicbook.com reports Iger said in a new interview that large budget films will be made for theaters first, before they would hit the service. However, television series such as "The Mandalorian" will be made exclusively for the service. Iger explained, "We're looking to invest significantly in television series on a per-episode business. We wouldn't make a Star Wars movie for this platform." He added that Disney will create five or six additional movies in 2019 to launch on the service.
