It became enough of a success to warrant a sequel, Goosebumps 2.
ComicBook.com liked the film.
However, they did not love it.
They said the movie is "an entertaining and thrilling adventure that's fun for the whole family."
They also said the movie will "older audiences of devout Goosebumps fanatics wanting more."
The movie holds a 47% Rotten Tomatoes score.
