The Golden Globes kicks off awards season on Sunday.
The entertainment industry has a lot to celebrate.
Reuters reports that 2018 was a record breaking year when it came to films, with $41.7 billion dollars spent at the global box-office.
Movies like ?A Star is Born,? ?Black Panther,? ?Bohemian Rhapsody? and ?Mary Poppins Returns? are all competing for Golden Globe honors.
This year, Reuters also reports that the informal dinner in Beverly Hills, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, is expected to leave political talk on the editing floor.
Golden Globe hosts Andy Samberg and ?Killing Eve? nominated actress Sandra Oh say that their goal is fun. They will also focus on the work.
Reuters adds, "Oh said she is ?not interested at all? in talking about U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been a focus of attacks at award shows since his 2016 election campaign."
The 2018 Golden Globes was not only sprinkled with Trump talk, but also spotlighted the "Me Too" movement.
