VIDEO : Woodstock 50th Anniversary Event Scheduled For 2019

Fifty years ago, the Woodstock music festival became one of the landmark moments of hippie counterculture. To celebrate this moment in history, an anniversary event will take place in August 2019 on the same field north of New York City. According to Reuters, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts announced a three-day festival of ?music, culture and community.? The Bethel Woods Center is a nonprofit that now owns the 37-acre field that was the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival. The anniversary festival is a joint venture with concert promoters Live Nation.
