According to a report by Comicbook.com, director Zack Snyder, who chose Ben Affleck for the role of Batman, recently reminded DC Extended Universe fans how proud he is to have tapped that actor for the iconic role. Snyder shared a photo of Affleck as the Dark Knight on Vero, writing, "I was transferring some photos from my old computer and came across this--not sure if I shared this one but it's cool...Ben is my perfect Batman." Despite being a huge financial success, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice received poor critical reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes calculating just 27 percent of reviews to be positive. Comicbook.com reports that the poor reception of Snyder's DCEU films could have spoiled future plans for the character.
