Star Wars: Episode IX will be the conclusion of the ?Skywalker Saga,? and so it has inspired many theories about how it will unite all corners of the saga.
According to ComicBook.com, one ?theory? that has appeared is that Natalie Portman will return as Padme Amidala in some capacity.
Portman has denied the claims, telling BuzzFeed that she likely would have heard about her character being involved in the new film.
Amidala was killed by Vader in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, preventing her from making an appearance in any corporeal form in follow-up films.
While it's possible Amidala could appear in the film, even without filming new scenes, to use Portman?s likeness they?d have to get her approval first.
Unless Natalie Portman hears about it, it?s probably not happening.
