With Guy Ritchie's upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin, fans were anxious to see who would be cast as one of the most popular roles, The Genie. The production team recently released that Will Smith will be playing The Genie and fans are excited but confused. Comicbook.com reports the first look at Smith's Genie has inspired a great deal of reactions online, with several fans being apprehensive about this new approach to the character, given how different he looks from what fans were expecting. While many comments made jokes about sparking outrage over the fact that Smith is not blue like the original Genie, one user wrapped it up nicely saying, "I'll trust Will Smith till the day I die so I'll rock with it."
