According to Business Insider, "Dogs often exhibit strange behavior like sniffing other dogs' butts, eating poop, getting the zoomies, and more." What is the medical reasoning behind these strange behaviors though? It can all come down to evolutionary or instinctual behavior. The reason for zoomies is a wonderful reason. Only happy and healthy dogs with pent up energy get the zoomies, so they should be celebrated. Also, dogs eating poop is instinctual - in the wild they learned to eat fecal matter if that was all they had.
