Penny Marshall has died at the age 75 from complications from her diabetes. Marshall began her career acting, known for her role in the sitcom ?Laverne and Shirley.? The actress then went on to become a director and did ?A League Of Their Own? and ?Big.? She became the first woman to direct a film that made more than $100 million domestically. A pioneer for women, she paved the way for female filmmakers in the entertainment industry.
