According to Screenrant, Apple and DHX Media will produce new content featuring the classic 'Peanuts' characters. More recently, Charlie Brown and friends made the jump to the big screen with 2015's 'The Peanuts Movie,' a critically-acclaimed film that grossed $246 million worldwide. Since then it's not been entirely clear what's next for the brand. The Hollywood Reporter says that DHX, which owns 41 percent of the 'Peanuts' worldwide rights, will produce the series as well as shorts, and specials for Apple. The show is said to be part of Apple's larger push to build up its original streaming programming for children.
