Last week it was announced that Kevin Hart would host the 2019 Oscars and by Thursday night he had resigned over homophobic tweets from the past. Then on Saturday, in Hart's defense, Nick Cannon dug up tweets from comedians Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer and Chelsea Handler in which they all used homophobic slurs as well. Comedian Billy Eichner defended the three female comedians use of the words, saying that they feel like they're "one of us" because they have "very large, dedicated gay male followings." But he did conclude that in the end, "the best thing to do is just not use the word."
