A rumor was recently afloat that beloved ?90s sitcom 'Friends' would not be available on Netflix in 2019. DigitalTrends reports an uproar from subscribers of the streaming service quickly led to a deal to retain the series through 2019 that reportedly cost Netflix $100 million. The owner of the rights to 'Friends,' WarnerMedia and parent company AT&T, plan to launch their own streaming service in 2019, like Disney and CBS have already done. According to a new report on the deal, the presence of 'Friends' on Netflix is not guaranteed beyond 2019 and Netflix may not have exclusive rights to stream the series.
